6 die in separate rail accidents in Thane

Thane, Sep 7: As many as six persons including two women died in mishaps on the suburban section of the Central and Western Railway on Thursday, the GRP stated.

Of these maximum have been in three each in Kalyan and Vasai railway stations.Senior inspector, Dinkar Pingle at the Kalyan railway police station said that of three deaths in Kalyan, two deaths aged between 40-45 were occured on track at Asangaon and Kasara.

While, the third body aged 64 was found lying next to the ladies bogie at Kalyan station and was identified as Madhusudan Nene.On western railway, Vasai, senior inspector V M Chowgule said that there have been three deaths reported, of which a couple both aged 25 committted suicide at Nalla Sopara by leaping in front of the speeding train.
