Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Aug 6: The women activists of Maratha Kranti Morcha also took to the streets on Monday by marching to the collector's office in Beed district of the Marathwada region demanding reservation for the community.
A report from Beed said that since last 20 days a 'thiyya' (sit-in) agitation was going on at Parli of the district to press for the Maratha quota demand. Now, the agitation has also begun at Majalgaon, Georai and Kaij talukas of the district, the report further said.
Today, the Maratha Mahila Kranti Morcha activists marched to the district collector's office from the multi-purpose ground, after paying tributes to the statue of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with placards of their demand. (UNI)
