‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ begins in MP

Bhopal, June 9 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ Scheme through videoconferencing at Mantralaya on Tuesday, it was officially learnt. The venture will facilitate all eligible families – covered under the National Food Security Act – to obtain rations from any fair price shop in their vicinity on the basis of biometrics across 21 states.

While interacting with migrant labourers hailing from other states but working in this one, the veteran leader averred, “This programme introduced by Premier Narendra Modi shall prove extremely beneficial for transient workers.” Home, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Narottam Mishra; Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat; Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel as well as Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Cooperatives Minister Govind Singh Rajput were among those present.
