Bhopal, June 8 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Monday that – despite significant enhancement in recovery rate of COVID-19 patients – testing, bed and Intensive Care Unit arrangements in infirmaries plus quarantine should be undertaken seamlessly.
“Awareness must be maintained in contact tracing and containment,” the veteran leader averred while seeking detailed inputs regarding endeavours to control the pandemic within Indore as well as other districts. The review meeting – conducted via videoconferencing during the senior politician’s Indore sojourn – was informed that the state’s recovery pace has attained 68 per cent, official sources said. “The total number of beds ought to be rapidly increased to 85,000,” Mr Chouhan directed. He instructed the Indore Collector and other officials to execute groundwork by anticipating possible scenarios by the end of June and in July. (UNI)
