War against COVID-19: MP CM stresses on role of clinics

Bhopal, May 28 : As the nation battles the ‘millennium scourge’, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Thursday that fever clinics be made ideal so that any individual may approach them for check-up and subsequently these facilities should transform into superb centres for treatment of all maladies. Official sources said that 1,577 such clinics are functioning and being expanded gradually.

“Thus far; 4,78,247 labourers including migrants have been issued job cards and provided work under the Shram Siddhi Abhiyan launched for giving universal employment to this category. As many as 23,01,921 individuals – the country’s highest – are toiling under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and of them 9,44,914 have been engaged in water harvesting,” the seasoned politician averred while reviewing the situation through videoconferencing.

Health Minister Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Vivek Johri, Additional CS (Health) Mohammed Suleman and Principal Secy (Medical Education) Sanjay Kumar Shukla were among those in attendance. (UNI)
