Bhopal, Mar 18 : Reiterating that 16 of Madhya Pradesh’s ruling Congress lawmakers are being held captive in the Karnataka capital, Chief Minister Kamal Nath wondered on Wednesday as to what stands in the way of these representatives being conveyed back here.
“The legislators must be returned. The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party is wriggling to come to power in this state. My dispensation is not a new one; we have proved our majority on several occasions in the Assembly. If the saffron camp feels otherwise, then it should bring in a motion of no-confidence. If the need arises, I may also journey to Bengaluru,” the seasoned politician averred during an interaction with the press. (UNI)
