Bhopal, Mar 15 : Reiterating that some of Madhya Pradesh’s ruling Congress lawmakers are being held “captive” in the Karnataka capital, state Public Relations Minister PC Sharma emphasised on Sunday that representatives returning – or to return – from Jaipur, Bengaluru and Haryana must be subjected to health check-ups.

“Cellular phones have been snatched from our legislators in the Karnataka capital, they are not being permitted to meet anyone and their countenances reveal that they were subjected to voodoo! The Chief Minister has himself stated that his dispensation is prepared for a floor test,” the politician averred during an interaction with the press here subsequent to a Cabinet meeting.

The Assembly’s Budget Session is commencing on Monday but the coronavirus factor and prevention measures are the Speaker’s prerogative, Mr Sharma said, adding that the Cabinet did not discuss the subject but took other decisions such as hiking employees’ dearness allowance by 5 per cent. (UNI)
