Bhopal, Mar 15 : On the eve of a crucial floor test in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, approximately 90 ruling Congress lawmakers returned here – by a special plane from the Rajasthan capital – and were conveyed to a hotel at MP Nagar where they are under a blanket of security. Subsequent to their arrival at Raja Bhoj Airport at about 1100 hrs, the representatives were packed into buses.
Numerous state-level party office-bearers are with the legislators who spent the past few days in Jaipur where they were taken in a special aircraft. However, roughly 20 MLAs – loyalists of Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia who entered saffron ranks recently – are still in the Karnataka capital. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Kamal Nath is in a council of war along with ministers and other bigwigs. A Cabinet meeting is also scheduled. A Congress whip was issued on Saturday evening. The Vidhan Sabha’s Budget Session commences on Monday. (UNI)
