Bhopal, Feb 9: A local special court, dealing exclusively with matters pertaining to parliamentarians and legislators, on Saturday acquitted Bharatiya Janata Party leader plus erstwhile minister Lal Singh Arya in the case relating to murder of Congress legislator Makhanlal Jatav.
It was alleged that the former Minister Lal Singh Arya gunned down Makhanlal Jatav in Harenta village while interacting with people subsequent to addressing a public meeting in favour of Mr Bhagirath Prasad who contested the 2009 general election from Bhind.
In the verdict delivered by Judge S Singh exonerated Ex-minister Lal Singh Arya. A Central Bureau of Investigation special court in Indore will conduct hearings against six other accused. (UNI)
