Jabalpur, MP, Jan 12 : Employing sarcasm as a shaft from his political quiver, Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah on Sunday placed Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath in political crosshairs by quipping that the latter is opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act with the sole intent of earning a positive “annual confidential report” from the Congress top brass.
“Mr Nath is shouting that he shall not implement the legislation in this state. He ought not to raise his voice as that does not augur well for his health at this age. Madhya Pradesh’s electorate erred once but will not repeat its mistake.
If elections are conducted at this juncture, the Bharatiya Janata Party shall return to the saddle with a two-thirds majority. Mr Nath ought to pay attention to the Congress’ poll promises,” he averred while addressing a public meeting at this cantonment town’s Garrison Ground in support of the law. (UNI)
