Bhopal, Sep 24 : The India Meteorological Department forecast isolated yet heavy precipitation during the next 24 hours in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul, Chhatarpur, Harda, Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Khargone, Raisen, Rewa, Satna and Singrauli districts.
A couple of lightning-related fatalities were reported on Tuesday in Seoni District. “The monsoon trough line is at an altitude of 0.9 km above the state’s south-western part and cyclonic circulation existent over south-western Rajasthan. This is causing widespread rainfall in Madhya Pradesh. The day’s figures include Damoh 25 mm, Gwalior and Pachmarhi 8 each, Khajuraho 6 and Betul 5. The monsoon may depart from this state by the first week of October,” senior meteorologist AK Shukla told UNI here.(UNI)
