Bhopal, Sep 10: The India Meteorological Department sounded an ‘intense precipitation’ warning – effective for the next 24 hours – in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sehore, Guna, Ashoknagar, Anuppur, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol, Rewa, Sagar, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Mandla, Katni, Chhindwara and Balaghat districts.
Isolated downpours are likely to lash Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Barwani, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Ratlam, Shajapur, Dewas, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Hoshangabad, Betul and Harda districts. There is no hope of respite from inclement weather for the next four to five days. The Narmada, Chambal, Betwa, Parvati and Kali Sindh are torrents owing to opening of sluice gates of almost every major dam. Approximately 900 people are at five relief camps within Vidisha District.
