Bhopal, Sep 5 : The India Meteorological Department(IMD) has forecast ‘isolated yet intense’ precipitation over the next 24 hours in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Sagar, Anuppur, Dindori, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sehore, Dhar, Khargone, Barwani, Ujjain and Dewas districts owing to moisture from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
“Jabalpur recorded 31 mm rainfall on Thursday. Cyclonic circulation is existent at an altitude of 1.5 km over the state’s eastern part; the monsoon trough line is passing via Guna and Umaria. A low-pressure area over Odisha is sending a considerable quantum of vapour. The state capital experienced 54 mm rain from late Wednesday to this morning,” senior meteorologist Uday Sarwate said.
