Bhopal, Aug 15: As India celebrated the festival signifying the unique bond between brothers and sisters, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath reiterated his dispensation’s dedication vis-a-vis safeguarding the state’s interests and ensuring women’s safety. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, women public representatives from different places tied rakhis to the Chief Minister, an official release said.
“My government is committed with regard to empowerment of women who should become self-reliant and come forward to contribute towards developing the state and the country. Bhavna Dehriya and Megha Parmar conquered Everest and other challenging summits, which constitutes evidence that our daughters are capable of accomplishing difficult tasks. What is imperative is that the regime and society provide them with adequate opportunities and the right environment,” the Chief Minister observed. (UNI)
