Bhopal, Aug 15: Strengthening law and order must be in step with uncompromising control of offences against women, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Thursday during the inauguration of district’s most advanced Police Control Room (PCR) building equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, it was officially learnt. “In order to maintain peace, law-enforcement authorities should seek citizens’ cooperation.
Firming up mutual coordination and relations between the men in khaki and the populace is essential as this will aid in crime prevention. Maximum utilisation of the surveillance system is imperative,” the Chief Minister said. He was apprised of the CCTV system being used in monitoring this city. Ultramodern PCRs have been set up in 60 towns and as many as 11,500 cameras installed. (UNI)
