Bhopal, Dec 5: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s Madhya Pradesh Vice President and Legislator Rameshwar Sharma, who is trying his electoral fortune from Huzur assembly constituency, on Wednesday accused the principal-opposition Congress of orchestrating a campaign against him.
Referring to an audio tape in which Mr Sharma is “heard” employing objectionable language against a certain business community, the politician alleged that Congress workers are behind the incident.
“I have myself lodged a police complaint and urge checking the tape’s authenticity. I apologise if a comment by me has hurt any section of society,” Mr Sharma told a news channel here.
The community’s members kept their commercial establishments closed on Wednesday and demanded action against the MLA. (UNI)
