In the wee hours of November 28, which was voting day across Madhya Pradesh, a dispute ensued when a BJP workers’ vehicle was halted by principal-opposition Congress counterparts. The vehicle left but sometime later the five accused – accompanied by about a dozen others – came in a few vehicles, opened fire, drove the Congress workers away and perpetrated arson. The Congress alleged that the BJP workers came with the intention of distributing money and liquor in the area.(UNI)
