Fishermen advised to avoid deep sea fishing due to likely development of a low pressure

Thiruvananthapuram, May 28 : In view of likely development of a low pressure area over South East and adjoining East Central Arabian sea, fishermen are advised to avoid deep sea fishing activity over these regions from May 31 to June 4. Thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds (speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph) are likely to occur at one or two places in Kerala and Mahe on May 28 to 29, a release from the meteorological centre here said on Thursday.

Thunderstorms with wind speed reaching 40 kmph in gusts accompanied by moderate rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in Ernakulam and Thrissur districts in Kerala and Minicoy Island in Lakshadweep today. (UNI)
