Kochi, May 22 : The Civil Aviation Ministry has given sanction to start 30 per cent services to airline companies and 113 services would be started from here in a week, an airport spokesman said on Friday. Arrangements were made to start flights from Cochin International Airport here from Monday following permission from Centre and state governments.
All the procedures for the passengers including check-in, security and identity would be done completely through mechanical facilities. As per the time-table, from May 25 to June 30, in the initial stage to and fro services would be started from Agatti, Bengaluru, Kozhikode, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kannur, Mumbai, Mysore and Pune by Air Asia, Air India, Alliance Air, Indigo, Spicejet, Vistara and Air India Express airlines, he added.
