Kochi, Apr 22: Even as Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his party continue to remain silent on transfer of coronavirus data to Sprinklr, a US-based Public Relations and marketing company, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala moved the high court here on Wednesday, demanding cancellation of the contract.
Chennithala has also demanded that all those whose data had been transferred should be compensated by the chief minister and IT secretary. The petition was filed adding the chief minister, chief secretary, IT secretary and CEO of Sprinklr as counter parties. The court is already hearing three such petitions. On Tuesday, the court had slammed the government and posted the cases for further hearing on Friday. Earlier, Chennithala had alleged a scam of over Rs 200 crore in the deal. The Congress had pointed out that Vijayan's daughter's Bengaluru-based IT company had close links with Spinklr.
On Wednesday, congress legislator Eldos Kunnapally went public by stating that CM's daughter had met Spinklr EO Ragi Thomas six times in US. Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran has also moved the court demanding a Vigilance probe into the deal. (UNI)
