COVID-19; Husband died in Kerala on wedding anniversary, wife in Dubai

Kochi, Mar 26 : Bijimol, a Keralite woman currently in Dubai in search of a job, could not even see the body of her husband in Kerala, due to the travel restrictions amid COVID-19 outbreak.

Her husband, Sreejith, a cancer patient who has been on wheelchair for the past nine months, died on March 24, their wedding anniversary day, leaving behind three children, aged 15, eight and five, under the care of a relative. Bijimol, a native of Kalamassery here gone to Dubai in search of a job three months back by paying Rs three lakh to an agent which she had borrowed from a money lender.

After reaching Dubai, she realised that she did not get a job as she arrived there by a tourist visa. She had been living with her friends these days. Despite the many setbacks, Bijimol is determined to fight her way through for the sake of her family. (UNI)
