Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 21: In tune with the appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kerala will observe 'Janata Curfew' on Sunday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said.
"The public transport system, including the KSRTC and Metro, will not be operated tomorrow. Everybody should clean their houses and surroundings while they are under curfew," Mr Vijayan said in a release here on Saturday. Reacting to blocking of vehicles at all the border points, the Chief Minister said "the Tamil Nadu Government had said that travel to that state is possible, but inspections have been strengthened."
"The new cases in Kasargod were caused by a person who had recently returned from abroad and who didn't follow the self-quarantine measures. Despite multiple warnings, certain people are not willing to follow precautionary measures," he said. (UNI)
