Thrissur, Mar 13 : The District Administration had clamped severe restrictions at crowded places and public functions, in view of the new finding of a coronavirus tested patient from Thrissur.
According to the route map released by district collector on Friday, the 21-year-old A Shanawaz had landed at Cochin international airport on February 29 and reached his home town near Mathilakam by taxi.
During the next eight days he visited various places including shopping mall, theatres, hotels and restaurants and a marriage function, Following symptoms of fever on March 8, he was admitted to district general hospital and admitted to isolation ward His condition is now stable. The Collector said 385 people who had come in contact with the man are under observation.
Shanawaz had come from Italy via Doha and had travelled along with the family from Pathanamthitta. The Collector said a total of 1362 people in the district are under observation and out of them 77 are admitted to isolation wards and 1285 in home quarantine.
He said 284 sample were sent for testing and results of 33 have been received and all of them are found negative. (UNI)
