UAPA case: HC denies bail to two CPM students

Pennews

The two CPM youths arrested under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) on grounds of having Maoists have been denied bail. Kerala High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of the two students, Alan Shuhaib and Thaha Fasal, who face UAPA charges and were arrest in Kozhikode recently.

The court after examining the case diary and other evidence denied bail to them. The police put up a strong case to invoking UAPA against them.

Earlier, the Kozhikode District Principal Sessions Court too had denied bail to the students.
