Kochi, Nov 26 : Bhumatha Brigade founder Trupti Desai on Tuesday demanded a written statement from the police after she was denied protection to visit the Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala.
Ms Desai said that they will return back once police gives them a written statement explaining their stance. Police had sought legal advice regarding a written statement. Following this, the state Advocate General told the police that a written statement can be given to them on the issue.
Kochi Police Commissioner Vijay Sakhare will hand over the written statement to Trupti soon after getting the approval from state Director General of Police Loknath Behra. Police will provide security for Trupti Desai to return to the Airport. (UNI)
