Kozhikode, Nov 19: Indian Union Muslum League (IUML) Kerala Unit General Secretary K P A Majeed has said that it was out of guilty conciousness that the CPI(M) leader had pointed his accusing fingers on the Muslim outfits of motivating Maoists.
In a statement here on Tuesday, the IUML leader rediculed the statement by CPI-M Kozhikode District Secretary P Mohanan that it was the Muslim outfits who were facilitating extremism by Maoists in Kerala. In fact the Marxist leader was trying to cover up the nexus of their activists with the Maoists, Mr Majeed alleged.
The IUML had always been strong in its attitude and had given strict instructions to its leaders and branches not to entertain and not to give membership to anyone who has some inclination or nexus with fundementalists or seperatists, Mr Majeed said.
It was two activists of the CPI(M) who had been arrested recently for supporting Maoists. Having hinted about the nexus of a Muslim outfit encouraging Maoists seperatists, the Marxist leader should reveal the name of the organization, he demanded. (UNI)
