Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 13: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday hinted toward possibility of opening pubs for late night employees including IT professionals who can unwind themselves as there were no such facilities in the state.
The Chief Minister, who said this in a weekly TV show telecast on Sunday, clarified that Kerala lacks pubs and those who work late night do not have good restaurants. Referring the long queues in front of beverages outlets in the State, he said the issue will be solved after facelifting of the outlets.
Reacting to this, Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala said it was against the policy of total prohibition of the previous UDF Government which closed 712 bars coming under the five-star category. (UNI)
