New Delhi, Oct 25 : The Supreme Court on Friday ruled that it would not retract its order to demolish all the apartments in the area built violating the CRZ norms in Maradu in Kochi, Kerala.
A bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra, declined to modify its earlier order with respect to demolition of all the apartments, built in complete violation of the Coastal Regulations Zone in Maradu area.
"We won't go back to our old order. Please comply with our earlier order," Justice Mishra said.
In its last hearing, the apex court had slammed the Kerala Government for its alleged lapse in allowing construction of the flats there in complete violation of CRZ norms. The Supreme Court today refused to stay the demolition order on the area. (UNI)
