Kochi, Oct 6 : Brushing aside the speculation that Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BJDS) is snapping its tie-up with Bharatiya Janata Party, its president Thushar Vellappally on Sunday said that at the moment the party was strongly united with it.
Thushar, however, claimed both the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) were ready to accept the BDJS and "we are happy about it". He added he was not denying anything.
His reaction comes at a time when there are reports that BDJS leadership is dissatisfied with the BJP state leadership which did not intervene even after the former refrained from contesting the byelection in protest.
The allegation is that BDJS was not allowed to be part of NDA's byelection campaign in Pala.
There were reports of Mr Thushar being ignored by the BJP candidate at four places when he came to take part in the byelection campaigns for the Pala Assembly seat. The byelection was held on September 23. (UNI)
