Pinarayi to visit flood-hit Malappuram, Wayanad

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 13 : Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan left for Kozhikode on Tuesday to visit flood-affected areas in Malappuram and Wayanad districts where several people had died due to torrential rains and landslides.

The Chief Minister, Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan, Chief Secretary Tom Jose, DGP Loknath Behra and members of State Disaster Management Authority left for Kozhikode from the Air Force Technical Area here by an India Air Force flight AN 32.
After arriving at Karipur Airport in Kozhikode, they will leave for Wayanad and Malappuram districts by a helicopter to visit the flood-affected areas.

Vijayan and team will also visit various relief camps in these districts.The Chief Minister will return to this evening, official sources said.(UNI)
