Cochin International Airport ((CIAL) at Nedumbassery in Kerala has resumed its operations with the landing of Indigo flight 6E from Abu Dhabi.
The CIAL has suspended its operations on Friday morning after heavy rain resulted in the parts of the tarmac being flooded. The airport was reopened three hours ahead of schedule - it had originally been planned for 3 pm.
Meanwhile, trains also began to run on Sunday after hours of cancellation. A previously cancelled Ernakulum to Bengaluru Superfast Express is planned to leave at 5pm as scheduled earlier.
