Taneira to host exhibition of handcrafted sarees from Aug 2

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 1 : Taneira, the youngest brand from Titan will host a three-day exhibition and sale of handcrafted sarees here from August 2.

Visitors at the showcase will be able to witness Taneira’s exquisite collection of nearly 1500 sarees from Silk Cotton Chanderi and Maheshwari, soft Cotton Bengal Jamdanis, rich Kanjeevaram and Banarasi Silks to contemporary Tussars, vibrant Ikats and South Silks.

Speaking about the exhibition, Taneira Business Head Shyamala Ramanan on Thursday said, handicrafts sarees from over 55 regions across the country and some designed in-house are for the sales. Taneira’s newest additions include Sanganeri block prints from Rajasthan, a wide range of Ikats, Bagh and Ajrakh block prints, in-house designs in Tussar and Jamdani, and Taneira’s Wedding Collection - Ananya, dress materials, ready-to-wear blouses, stoles and dupattas will also be on display.

With the aim to provide authenticity and quality in natural textiles and Indian craftsmanship, the brand is taking firm steps towards a strong national presence. After the successful launch of two stores in Bangalore and equal number in Delhi, Taneira has recently opened its store in Hyderabad.

The brand provides an enhanced shopping experience and a full-fledged style studio that houses ready-to-wear blouses, customization and tailoring services to complete the perfect ensemble.

Launched in February 2017, Taneira is the youngest brand of Titan Company Limited. A handcrafted saree brand, Taneira offers close to 3000 sarees from over 55 regions in India, celebrating the diverse textiles and crafts of India.

Taneira is derived from the word ‘tan’ meaning body and ‘Eira’, the Sanskrit name for Goddess Saraswati (Patron God of art, music, craft and knowledge) and meaning ‘Earth’ in Greek. (UNI)
