Yet another Keralite who had left to join Islamic State was killed in Afghanistan.

According to relatives who received a message, Muhammad Muhsin of Edappal was killed in a drone attack by the US, reports said.

Mushin's family members were also warned of adverse action if they informed police or any investigation agency, the message said.

National Investigation Agency officials reached Edappal but family members are said to have refused to share the information.

Muhsin is said to have joined IS in late 2017 and was active in the organisation in Khorasan in Afghanistan along with another I commander. Both were killed on July 18.

He was a final year engineering student in Thrissur when he left saying he was going to Bengaluru. Police had them on the basis of a man-missing complaint registered a case and learnt that he had gone to Dubai.

Relatives said an IB had informed them that Muhsin had joined IS.

It was nearly two years ago that a man went missing from Padana in Kasaragod and joined IS. He was killed in a drone attack in Afghanistan.

He was among the 21 people from the State, who went to the Gulf to joined the IS in Syria.
