Kochi, Jul 29: Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has ordered Kerala Government to reinstate suspended DGP Jacob Thomas into service.
Sources here on Monday said the Tribunal issued the direction based on a petition filed by Jacob Thomas stating that continuous suspension of the IPS officer is not right.
The DGP was suspended two years back for his criticism on the Government for its failure in dealing with Ockhi cyclone.
Later, he was suspended again for writing a book on corruption took place at various levels in the Government.
Alleging that he was the victim of revenge by political parties, he welcomed the tribunal decision stating that justice had been served.
Though Jacob applied for a voluntary retirement, the tribunal verdict could be a point for reconsidering the earlier decision, sources added. (UNI)
