The two women who jumped jail in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday were nabbed by the police on Thursday.
The two who created history by being the first women in Kerala to successfully attempt such a feat had scaled the high walls of the Attakulangara Women's Prison in Thiruvananthapuram.
Sandhya (26) of Varkala and Shilpamol (23) of Pangodu are said to have first reached the Medical College in an autorickshaw. Since they had little money, they resorted to begging. With whatever money collected, the two left for Varkala. They then went to a hospital at Paravoor, police said
Since they learnt that a hunt was on for them, the two decided to go to Shilpa's house in Pangodu. Before reaching there, they were nabbed by the police team .
Shilpa is said to have contacted her relatives which helped in police getting hold of the duo. Police had put out a lookout notice and feared they must have made it to Tamil Nadu.Details of how they escaped and whether they had received support from jail officials would be known only after interrogation, police said.
