The four convicts involved in the wife-swapping case have now been sent to police at Kayamkulam after nearly a fortnight in judicial custody. Police have also decided to name the wives of the four men as accused.
This is the first case in the State involving the use of social media platforms for wife-swapping to get sexual pleasure. Police sources said cases would also be taken against the women, wives of men from Krishnapuram in Kayamkulam, Vavvakkavu and Keralapuram in Kollam and Paippad in Tiruvalla. All in the group are below the 30 age group and were in contact through apps.
Police had registered the case against the four men on the basis of a complaint filed by one of the women. She had said her husband had assaulted her and forced her to have sex with his friends. Their wives too were shared among the menfolk.
On the basis of the complaint, the wives of the arrested men were also named accused. They are said to be in hiding. Police are expected to nab them, sources said, adding that efforts were on to check the spread and reach of the team.
