Congress president Rahul Gandhi is to arrive in Kerala tonight for a two-day election campaign. On the second day he will address a couple of meetings in Wayanad, from where he is contesting, besides his traditional seat of Amethi.
Rahul will arrive in Thiruvanthapuram on Monday night and will proceed to Pathanamthitta, the heartland of Sabarimala and address a public rally there. He will hold a meeting at Pala and also visit the house of Kerala Congress leader KM Mani later. Besides, he is expected to visit Alappuzha and Thiruvanthapuram.
On Wednesday, he will leave for Kannur and hold a meeting of candidates of Kannur, Kozhikode and Kannur and then proceed to Wayanad and have public meetings at Sultan Battery, Tiruvampadi and Wandoor.
Rahul is a candidate in Wayanad and party officials said a number of leaders like AK Antony, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Priyanka Gandhi are to address meetings in Wayanad before the April 23 elections.
He will address a joint meeting at Chalisseri for the UDF candidates of Ponnani, Palakkad and Alathur.
The Congress-led UDF is pinning hopes on Rahul to give the campaign the much-needed big push just before the election date.
