A cardiac surgery was not a reason enough for the congress candidate from Chalakkudy constituency in Kerala to stop electioneering.
Days after the surgery, 66-year old Benny Behnan, a staunch politician and a two-time legislator in Kerala, came back to the campaign field again on Friday.
He was admitted to hospital after a chest pain during election campaign a few days ago. He underwent angioplasty and was on rest for the past seven days. "I'm going to return to the poll campaign on Sunday. I will win," Benny Behnan told media.
Chalakkudy constituency is witnessing a strong battle as Benny Behnan opposing the sitting MP and a famous film actor, Innocent, a CPIM candidate. Earlier Poll survey predicts a tough battle with an edge for Innocent. Behenan's main rival Innocent visited him at the hospital where he was admitted after cardiac problem and had undergone an emergency surgery.
