The BJP is yet to finalise its candidate for Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency that houses the Sabarimala shrine which is expected to be its major poll plank.
The party central leadership announced candidates for 13 constituencies, leaving out Pathanamthitta which is eyed by state unit president PS Sreedharan Pillai, state general secretaries K Surendran and MT Ramesh and Union Minister Alphons Kannanthanam, with the last being allocated Ernakulam.
As expected, former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajashekaran will contest from Thiruvananthapuram where Congress leader Shashi Tharoor is trying for a hat-trick.
