Amritanandamayi Devi will visit Australia and Singapore in the month of
April and May.
Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, popularly known as Amma, will attend
several public programmes in Australia and Singapore during her visit to
the two foreign nations.
During Amma's visit in Australia, public programmes will be held in
Melbourne (April 16-20), Sydney (April 22-23), Brisbane (April 25),
Sunshine Coast (April 26-28). Amma will hold Satsang, Bhajan, Darshan
During the visit in Singapore, programmes will be held (April 30 to May
2) at Marina Bay Sands Exhibition and Convention Centre, 10 Bayfront
Ashram sources said Amma's foreign tour is aimed at spreading the
fragrance of peace and harmony throughout the world and generating
solutions to global problems.
Amma, also known as 'the hugging saint', has a large following the
world over cutting across religious barriers.
Amma is also a humanitarian icon, having initiated several charitable
programmes to help the poor and needy within and outside India.
