Madikeri, Karnataka, Mar 10 : The Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) personnel have intensified combing operations inside the forest on the border of Kerala for suspected Maoists who had reportedly entered the district.
Police said that suspected Maoists would have entered Kodagu district from Wayanad. The search operations are being carried out for the last four days in the district.
The ANF personnel from Karkala and Kodagu jointly carried out combing operations. They are on high alert at border areas of Kutta, Karike and Makutta.
The combing operations were carried out at Birunani, Naladi, Udumbe, Haladi and Sampaje forests too. Bhagamandala, Napoklu and Virajpet in the district have been considered as hypersensitive and the police are on high alert in these areas. UNI
