Kerala High Court has directed completion of trial in the actor abduction case, where Dileep ia an accused, in six months.
The court, while rejecting the bail plea of second accused Martin Antony, gave the direction for speedy completion of the trial.
Martin said he had been in jail for two and a half years when another accused Dileep was in jail for just 85 days.
He said he had been cooperating with the investigation and had been in jail from February 18, 2017, a day after the incident.
Martin, to support his plea for bail, claimed he had no criminal background and it was his ninth petition for bail.
Justice Alexander Thomas directed to conclude the trial at the earliest taking into consideration that Martin had been in remand for over two years. The court directed to end the trial in six months if there were no other obstacles.
