Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 2 : An alert has been issued to fishing folk in Kerala, following Intelligence reports that terrorists are likely to opt the sea route to reach Kerala in the wake of tension prevailing on Indo-Pak border.
Following the central intelligence report, the State Fisheries Department urged fishermen to keep utmost vigil on any suspicious movement in coastal areas, sources said here on Saturday.
The fishermen are requested to inform authorities about presence of submarines, which could spend more than 25-30 days underwater, and come to surface again to recharge its drained batteries.
The terrorists are likely to opt for sea routes to reach Kerala to carry out attacks in the country, following the IAF air attack on terror camps in neighbouring Pakistan. (UNI)
