Actor Kollam Thulasi, who had made a derogatory speech on the Sabarimala women entry issue, surrendered before the investigating officer in Kollam on Tuesday.
Earlier, Kerala High Court had rejected his anticipatory bail plea and directed him to surrender at the earliest in front of the investigating officer.
At the peak of protests against young women entry to Sabarimala, the actor had in a public function said young women who went should be torn apart and one part should be sent to the Supreme Court and the other to the Chief Minister’s office. He later apologised for his comments.
Incidentally these remarks were made at the function in the presence of BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai at Chavara on October 12.
