In a candid admission, BJP's lone legislator today told Kerala Assembly that his party had not ruled the State and would not rule in the near future. And so those who have been ruling the State in simultaneous terms owed an explanation for severe unemployment. The statement came during the discussion on Finance Bill.
In a dig at the Government over the Sabarimala issue, Rajagopal also said the Devaswom Minister’s announcement on Monday that just two young women worshipped at the shrine ran contrary to the government's submission in the Supreme Court that 51 had worshipped which was later brought down to 17.
He said the trek of the two women to the temple under police protection resulted in creating tension in the State and the Government was responsible for this.
