The indefinite strike by KSRTC employees proposed from Wednesday midnight has been put off. Union leaders announced the decision late on Wednesday after talks with Transport Minister AK Saseendran.
The Minister gave a timeframe to consider their demands.
Earlier in the day, Kerala High Court asked the KSRTC staff to take part in discussions to find a solution to the issue and not go ahead with the strike.
However, union leaders said it was not for the court to say that they should not go on strike and decided to go ahead with the agitation.
Talks in the morning with KSRTC managing director Tomin Thachankeri failed.
