Sangh Parivar to raise women wall to counter LDF move

Thiruvananthapuram: As a counter to the LDF-led women wall, the Sangh Parivar has decided to come out with a similar plan.

The date of the Parivar’s women wall will be declared after the meeting of Hindu organisation in Kochi on December 12. Sangh Parivar plans to line up double the number of women the LDF wall on January 1, and turn it into a mammoth rally.
Parivar plans to rope in Hindu organisations that are not linked to Sabarimala Karma Samiti If the Government and the LDF bring in women government employees and teachers for its wall.

The Parivar is now trying to run the campaign that the government is going ahead with its programme to create the impression that women in Kerala were in favour of young women worshipping in Sabarimala when the Supreme Court would consider the review petition against the September 28 verdict on January 22.

The Sabarimala Karma Samiti is carrying out door-to-door awareness programme on the need for preserving traditions in Sabarimala. They are also distributing pamphlets.
The calculation of Hindu organisations is that the Government is unlikely to get sufficient women to create the wall.
