Govt to move court on Sasikala’s communal speech

The Kerala Government has decided to taction against Hindu Aikya Vedhi president KP Sasikala for her communally provocative speeches and campaigns.

In a statement in Assembly on Thursday, Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran said Sasikala had allegedly attacked the devaswom board saying it had 60 per cent Christian employees and Hindus were facing hardships.

The Minister in his reply to PC George said she had been leading false campaign against Travancore Devaswom officials. Also, the Sabarimala tantri was only one among the 6, 000 employees of the devaswom and he could be made accountable, he added.

Chapters 8, 10 and 14 of the devaswom manual stated that tantris were answerable and were like any other employee. Tantris could not interfere in the policy issues of the board, he added.
