DySP on run after pushing man to death at Neyyattinkara

A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) is on the run after he was found guilty when, in a fit of rage, he pushed a person who was run over by a speeding car at Neyyattinkara near Thiruvananthapuram.

Top cop B Harikumar, a controversial police officer, pushed an electrician-cum-plumber, Sanal (33) on to the road in a fit of rage for wrongly parking his car on the roadside. A speeding car hit Sanal when he fell on to the road and died instantaneously.
Harikumar who immediately left the scene is yet to be located. It is said that Harikumar has already left the state itself. A police team is said to have left for Madurai on reports that he was hiding there.

Sanal, a native of Kadangavila, was the sole breadwinner of the family and is survived by wife and two children.

After the incident, local people blocked the national highway for hours demanding the DySP's arrest. Police have charged Harikumar with murder, based on the statement of Sanal's friend.
