Sabarimala: Kollam Thulasi’s remark on women kicks up a row

Malayalam actor Kollam Thulasi courted controversy today saying women who enter Sabarimala should be ripped into half and one part should be sent to Delhi and the other to the Chief Minister’s office in Thiruvananthapuram.

Kollam Thulasi made this controversial anti-women remark while delivering a speech on Friday as part of an agitation against Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all ages to worship at Sabarimala. The controversial comment of Thulasi has become a hot topic of discussion at the national level.

Actor Thulasi’s emotional ‘anti-women response’ has come as a setback to the ongoing agitation which is getting intensified across the State with community organisations also throwing their weight behind the protestors.
